Meet our Team
JUAN SALAZAR
Farm Assistant
My name is Juan Salazar and I’m a field biology technician turned farm assistant. I gained my experience in field research as a volunteer for Raincoast Conservation Foundation based out of Victoria, British Columbia. My work consisted of implementing non-invasive methods to collect DNA samples from black and grizzly bears within 4,000 square kilometers of the Great Bear Rainforest off the coast of British Columbia. I also worked as a wildlife technician for Auburn University’s Black Bear Research Project. At my last job I was a aquaculture technician at Oceans, Reefs and Aquariums located in the Harbor Branch FAU Campus located in Fort Pierce, Fl. I have a deep love for conservation and animal life. For this reason I joined CoLab, to shift my focus from field work to sustainable agriculture.
